Seule et sans armes
Ce dont je me souviens
In 1991, Laura Mayne and her sister Chris formed the soul acid jazz duo called Native.
Along with famous titles such as "Si la vie demande ça", "Tu planes sur moi", "Les Couleurs de l'Amour" among other songs written by Laura or even "Sometimes It Snows In April" cover of Prince, Native scattered rhythmic sophisticated seeds to be later harvested by a major part of the soul jazz r'n'b scene.
After winning an award with her band Native (Category Revelation of the year 1994) as well as being nominated four times for the "Victoires de la Musique" awards and selling near one million copies of her album, Laura still writes for many other known artists.
Back on stage Laura plays her brand new songs and also the NATIVE's titles which made her famous.
The Acoustic EP "Native Song Book Vol.1" released on December 20th 2011 is a real testimony of her talent as songwriter, composer and performer.
Her new ep is to be released out in fall 2013.
